C&C: Generals Zero Hour is a free strategy game expansion for Command & Conquer: Generals. This official add-on, brought to you by Electronic Arts, offers exciting new content that changes the way you play the original game. Discover additional campaigns for every faction and enjoy a fresh array of units and buildings to enhance your experience as a General.
This expansion pack expands the vast Command & Conquer universe, which includes other games like Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 and Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. Start building your empire in any of these titles, setting out on a mission for global domination.
In C&C: Generals Zero Hour, the main attraction is its three new campaigns with five missions each, covering USA, Global Liberation Army (GLA), and China factions. These story-driven tasks are a blend of old favorites and new challenges that keep you on your toes. The expansion pack also brings back live-action cutscenes, presenting mission briefs in a fresh way not found in the base game.
Furthermore, C&C: Generals Zero Hour introduces new gameplay modes that weren't available before. One such mode is the Generals’ Challenge, where you take on the role of a General and face off against other opponents. This blend between campaign and skirmish features increasing levels of difficulty in self-contained battles with AI-controlled players, culminating in a final showdown against an enemy General wielding technologies from all factions.
This expansion pack also unlocks online play, either through LAN or the internet. Local games support up to 8 players and are great fun with friends, but playing against strangers online opens a whole new world of challenges. Keep in mind that there is no matchmaking feature, so you never know who your opponents will be – they could range from cheaters to experienced players or Zerg Rushers.
All in all, the new story elements found within C&C: Generals Zero Hour make it an essential addition to your Command and Conquer collection. It enhances the base game with new missions, units, buildings, technologies, AI-controlled opponents, real-world players – but remember that increased difficulty awaits you in these added game modes. Despite the challenges ahead, this expansion is still highly recommended for any strategy gaming enthusiast.
