OpenNetMeter for Windows

OpenNetMeter is a free and open-source network monitoring software that helps you track your internet data usage in real time. This allows you to avoid running out of data or using more than what's allowed on a metered connection. The program is lightweight and portable, making it perfect for use even without installing on your desktop system. OpenNetMeter doesn't disrupt what you're currently doing; instead, it displays essential network information in a small widget that won’t interfere with your tasks.
OpenNetMeter has an intuitive design interface, which includes four main tabs: Summary, Detailed, History, and Settings. These allow you to switch between the information views based on what you need at any given time. The Summary section shows your current data usage along with total utilization from the past few days, as well as a graph illustrating download and upload speeds to help you monitor internet performance.
The Detailed section displays comprehensive data about your connection once you select the desired network, including application name, current and total received/sent data amounts as well as time-stamped records to give a more precise view of internet usage. In the History section, stored data for up to 60 days can be retrieved and viewed easily. Bonus: there's a dark interface mode option available!
While it offers valuable features, OpenNetMeter has some limitations - its system tray and TaskBarSpeed components are no longer being developed. Overall, this software is an essential download if you have a metered connection or limited data package since it helps manage your data usage wisely by showing real-time and total internet consumption, allowing easier budgeting to prevent overuse.
